The ProAdjuster remains an important part of Dr. Aivalotis’ professional history, but it is no longer the instrument routinely used at Adjustments Chiropractic & Wellness.
Over time, his preference shifted toward the Impulse iQ because its compact, handheld design better fits the way he currently practices — particularly when working with athletes, extremities and patients who need treatment in different positions.
The smaller platform is easier to transport, easier to position directly at the joint being treated and requires fewer layers of technology between the clinician and the treatment area.
For a sports-oriented practice, that combination of simplicity, flexibility and portability has made Impulse iQ the better fit.

Why Impulse iQ Fits an Athletic Practice.
Athletes rarely present as a single stationary spinal problem. Shoulders, hips, knees, ankles and feet may all influence movement and performance.
A compact handheld instrument allows Dr. Aivalotis to move efficiently between the spine and extremities and work with the athlete in positions that make sense for the joint being evaluated.
It can also travel more easily outside a conventional treatment room, making it especially compatible with athletic and performance environments.

Does Dr. Don still use the ProAdjuster?
No. Although ProAdjuster technology was a major part of his clinical and teaching career, his current preferred mechanical adjusting instrument is the Impulse iQ.
Why did he switch to Impulse iQ?
The compact handheld design better fits his current sports- and extremity-focused style of practice. It can be positioned easily around different joints and does not require a larger computer-based treatment station.
Is instrument adjusting only for the spine?
No. Instrument-assisted techniques may be used in different areas depending on the patient and the clinical situation. Dr. Aivalotis has extensive experience evaluating and treating extremity joints as well as the spine.
Is Impulse iQ the only technique used in the office?
No. Dr. Aivalotis uses multiple chiropractic approaches. Technique selection depends on the patient, joint, presentation and comfort level.
Is ProAdjuster technology outdated?
ProAdjuster remains part of the history of computer-assisted chiropractic care. Dr. Aivalotis’ move to Impulse iQ reflects his current clinical preferences and the direction of his sports- and performance-focused practice rather than a dismissal of his years of experience with ProAdjuster.
