For over 25 years, Dr. Aivalotis has been fitting patients for custom-molded orthotics. As an expert in structural analysis and biomechanics of the human frame, he quickly realized that alignment of the spine and symmetry of the body could not be maintained unless the foundation was proper. This means creating a stable foot base, proper arch support, and a properly functioning gait mechanism. In most instances, a chronic low back problem can be traced back to a chronic problem with one or both feet.
Dr. Aivalotis believes that a proper shoe insert coupled with a proper shoe is the most important factor in maintaining back alignment, preventing low back injuries, and resolving existing chronic low back pain. At Adjustments Chiropractic, we don’t just focus on chiropractic. Dr. Aivalotis’s vast knowledge and problem-solving skills, gives us an edge over the competition.

Here are a few things to consider…
Orthotics made by Podiatrists are TOO HARD!
Our custom-molded orthotics are made with a weight-dependent thermoplastic, sandwiched between various layers of pressure-relieving foam. This makes the outer shell soft yet durable, while the inner shell is responsive to pressure and movement.
Most over-the-counter insoles just don’t work!
The lack of semi-rigid support and poor design make most insoles on the market completely useless. Pair them with a weak shoe structure, and almost no additional support is added, and a lot of money is wasted.
Those national chains selling orthotics are OVERPRICED!
Although national chains have great marketing and high sticker prices, that doesn’t guarantee quality or effectiveness. Some companies charge upwards of $2000 for an orthotic system. These are usually only semi-custom and are evaluated by retail employees. Don’t trust anyone but a doctor to evaluate your feet. Don’t settle for good when your feet can be great!
Home casts aren’t accurate.
Doing a proper impression for orthotics requires skill. Many home kits are simply a box of foam that you stand in. This requires a computer algorithm to approximate a proper arch for your foot. Our system is specific to your foot and allows for the maximum comfortable arch that your foot is able to achieve without guessing.
Most custom orthotics hurt!
Often, unnecessary components are added to orthotics by certain brands, making them painful and unwearable. Our orthotics are completely custom, and Dr. Aivalotis controls what components are added based on your specific needs. No cookie-cutter insoles!
